Join Our Glucose Management Event for a Healthy Life!

An average of 41 percent of the male population and 32 percent of women have been diagnosed with high glucose levels. These spikes can even be seen in healthy people, depending on their lifestyle. When left out of control, they can potentially lead to conditions like cardiovascular disease or even diabetes. The book Glucose Detoxification by Jessie Inchauspe came as a response to this concern, featuring numerous tips on how to detox your body.

At Artistry Skin & Laser, we want you to be informed, so we invite you to our glucose management event. On June 4th at 3:30 PM and June 5th at 5:30 PM, you can come to talk with our specialist, Laura Carlsen, about the context of the book, sparing the need to read it yourself.

What Is Glucose?

Glucose, also referred to as “blood sugar,” is the primary type of sugar in your blood that your body uses for energy. The compound is obtained from your diet, particularly foods labeled as “carbohydrates.” Once the foods are broken down during digestion, they are sent into your bloodstream. There, they are regulated by hormones like insulin and glucagon (a substance that has been similarly replicated in weight loss injections).

Why Flattening Your Glucose Spikes Is Important

Fluctuations in glucose levels are pretty normal, as this is your body’s response to a meal. That said, significant spikes in your glucose levels can affect your mood, general health, and well-being. Keeping glucose spikes flat can help maintain consistent energy levels, preventing a sugar crash or mood stability issues.

Flattening glucose spikes can also have long-term benefits, the most notable being its ability to reduce the risk of diabetes. Since glucose spikes could also cause you to feel hungrier than usual, flattening those levels could assist you in your weight loss efforts. Living a healthy lifestyle is recommended for steady glucose levels.

Tips to Keep Glucose and Insulin Levels Steady

Maintaining steady glucose levels is more or less a matter of lifestyle. Below are some hacks to remember:

  • Exercise Regularly: Physical activity can help you control your blood sugar levels, as it causes the body to release the stored glucose. Two strength workouts per week are often enough.
  • Have a Healthy Weight: Maintaining a healthy weight could help control how your body responds to meals, keeping blood sugar steady. If you are overweight, then semaglutide treatments could help.
  • Limit Your Refined Carbohydrates: Refined carbs can lead to blood sugar spikes. Avoid foods like white bread, white pasta, or crackers.
  • Go for High-Fiber Foods: High-fiber foods can slow the blood sugar rise after a meal, so opt for whole foods instead.
  • Make Sure You’re Hydrated: Hydration thins out the toxins in your body, helping your kidneys take out excess sugar. Get your eight glasses of water every day.
  • Get Enough Sleep: Lack of sleep could lead to insulin resistance, which could cause spikes in glucose levels. Make sure you get at least six to seven hours of sleep.
  • Control Stress Levels: Excess stress hormones can lead to blood sugar spikes. To keep the level steady, practice stress-management techniques like meditation.
  • Have Consistent Meal Times: Eat your meals at the same time every day to bring the blood sugar levels under control.
  • Control Your Portion Sizes: The more you eat, the more blood sugar and insulin are produced. Go for frequent, smaller meals instead to have the blood sugar leveled.
  • Quit Smoking and Reduce Alcohol: Both vices have the potential to spike blood sugar levels, especially alcohol, as it is high in carbohydrates.

There are more hacks that could help you control your blood sugar levels, which is why we invite you to attend our event.
